| Mioya-Moto-Su-Mahikari-Ohomikami-sama, Oshienushi-sama
Thank you very much indeed for allowing me to share my Thanksgiving Report on this splendid day of the Monthly Commencement Ceremony in May 2006.
I was raised in Yaeyama Ishigaki Island and I moved to Okinawa Main Island due to my marriage in 1982. There, I got four sons. My husband and his brother had negotiated and built a two-family complex and we lived there.
In 1995, when my second son, Keiji, was in 5th grade, he had a health check-up at school and urine test. He was told to re-check due to the contents of albumin in his urine. I took him to the nearest local hospital immediately and tested again. He was diagnosed with acute nephritis. I didn't take it seriously because I believed that he loved sports, especially soccer, and that all his stress came from hard practice. I gave him whatever medicine his doctor prescribed. However, his bloating got worse and he complained that he felt sluggish. The doctor who was in charge of him introduced us to another hospital that specialized in this kidney disease. He was taking steroids and diuretics. However, his condition didn't show any improvement and he had to check into a hospital repeatedly.
Around that stage, his disease had changed to chronic nephritis. Later on, he was diagnosed with incurable nephrosis. The doctor told us that he might undergo dialysis or kidney transplant if the condition became more critical. I was very shocked and speechless. He had been suffering various kinds of side effects due to the steroids, such as bloating all over his body. His tiny face turned into a moon face and his eyebrows, the hair on his arms, legs, and back became extremely darker and heavier. The doctor ordered him to rest, not to go to school nor even move a bit; and he had been patient without complaining. I felt sorry and asked myself why I made him very sick. All I wished for was that his problem be cured, whatever it took. At almost the same time, I heard from someone who was a PTA member about "Divine Light Power." I had permission from the doctor for my son to be taken out for a while. I visited the Toyomishiro Contact Branch. He received okiyome for the first time and he went to the restroom 3 times during okiyome. He was amazed that the Divine Light allowed him to discharge more urine; a task that wasn't possible, even when he took diuretic. His complexion turned pink and he looked happier than before. I couldn't forget the words he said. He said, " I would be better if I received okiyome." I was very happy and felt that we were saved. At that time, his condition was very unstable. He lost his appetite when his condition got worse and he had difficulty walking to get to the second floor, where the Dojo was located. However, we visited the Dojo everyday. Mrs. Nori Higa and Mrs. Hideko Takamine, who were the center chiefs at that time, gave us great advice and support. In September 1997, we took the basic seminar at last. At the seminar, we learned about the side effects of taking drugs and existence of the spiritual world. We decided to believe Su-God no matter what. After the basic seminar was over, his condition stabilized and improved, such as, continuous discharge of urine and reduction of his sluggish condition. Due to this improvement, the doctor reduced his dose of steroids. This drug, if reduced suddenly, could jeopardize and harm the body. However, he received protection from Su-God and miraculously his swelling went down. He was not only allowed to go back to school, but he also participated in the OHOHARAHI Ceremony the same year.
In March 1998, Okinawa Dojo relocated to Kokujyo. At the time of the Completion, Relocation Ceremony, Oshienushi-sama shook hands and gave okiyome to Keiji's kidney at the Naorai Party. I couldn't stop crying as I witnessed my son smiling so happily. Later, he recovered his full strength and was able to regain a decent life. He received tremendous protection from Su-God. Even though he visited the hospital monthly, he stopped taking medicine. At last he graduated from junior high school and entered high school. We were supported by Oshienushi-sama's tremendous care. Through having such an experience, I wanted to tell everyone how wonderful the art of Divine Light was. Later, my son and I took the Intermediate Mahikari Seminar together because of my desire to save more people. I guided a friend, acquaintances, and people that we met in the hospital. In total there were 11 new Kamikumites. Also, my mother, who lived in Ishigaki Island, and my eldest sister, who lived in Saitama Prefecture, took the basic seminar successfully as well.
In June 1998, there was a Group Coordinators' Convention held at Su-za. I was awarded and received a plate written by Oshienushi-sama with the words "Strive to walk on the righteous path." I believed that by becoming a Kamikumite, happiness was finally brought to me. However, around that time, my husband's liquor store went bankrupt. He had an enormous debt and it caused a lot of problems for his parents and brother who were all co-signers to the liquor store.
My husband said: "I can't live any longer," He was very discouraged and had an expression on his face as if he wanted to commit suicide. I apologized to Su-God for the Onaga family's spiritual impurity and I guided my husband to the Basic Mahikari Seminar. After he took the Basic Mahikari Seminar, he regained more confidence and relaxed mentally, even though he couldn't get another job right away. I decided to take my 3rd and 4th sons to move back with my parents in Ishigaki Island. There, I lived with my mother and took care of her, as well as working extremely hard. I was very grateful to continue serving God in Touno Contact Branch. In 2001, I took the Advanced Mahikari Seminar. Our contact branch was promoted to a Okiyome center. I was assigned to be an assistant coordinator and director for food arrangement. I changed my mental attitude to go back to my beginning, and start everything fresh. I continued to guide more people, and as a result, 18 people successfully became Kamikumites since I moved to Ishigaki Island.
Two years later, our life finally settled down and our family could live together again in Yaeyama. When we were living separately, my second son, Keiji, almost stopped going to the Dojo. Even after he returned to Yaeyama, he visited the Yaeyama contact branch only for the monthly ceremonies. Around that time, he went to see a doctor for a check-up to obtain a medical certificate for his new school. It had been 2 years since he had the last check-up. The doctor warned him that his kidney function had weakened and that he needed to see him regularly. However, my son still remembered the pain caused by the side effects of the medication and he did not listen to the doctor. Day by day, his condition grew worse and he complained of fatigue and anemia. His face was pale and his skin became darker. Unable to take it any more, he at last went back to see his doctor who diagnosed him with renal failure and immediately gave him a blood transfusion. In 2002, my son was hospitalized again and started receiving dialysis.
I was so saddened and overwhelmed by all the misfortunes of my son and all the painful memories that we went through before. I became a Kamikumite because of my son and had been guiding people through the miracles that my son received. Therefore, I just could not accept my son's condition and my heart was drifting away from Su-God. However, seeing my son vomiting and suffering from severe headache during dialysis every other day, I realized that Okiyome was the only way that I could help him. I went to the hospital everyday and gave my son Okiyome. His blood pressure became stable, and his condition and the test results improved remarkably. In two months, he was discharged from the hospital. He was even able to graduate from high school while receiving dialysis on a regular basis, and he started working. Through these experiences, I learned that "cleansing is cleansing, and salvation is salvation" or "God's love cleanses your soul as long as you need it, but it also gives you salvation". I was determined to devote myself to Su-God again.
In April 2004, a few months before the 45th Grand Anniversary Festival, Oshienushi-sama's study meeting was held at the Okinawa Dojo. Fifty Kamikumites attended the meeting from our contact branch. Oshienushi-sama shook hands with every one of us. We were so touched by his love and thoughtfulness toward Kamikumites that we determined to bring as many people as possible to Suza for the 45th GAF. As a result, 70 people were able to visit Suza from our contact branch, which was a record number. Our contact branch had almost grown to be promoted to Dojo level. However, after the festival, people at our contact branch went back to a relaxed mood, typical for the southern islanders, and we could not hold a Basic Mahikari Seminar for many months. I tried hard to support our branch chief and recruited my brother and my niece to Mahikari at the same time.
I also gave Okiyome to Miss Arisa Nigaki, a girlfriend of my son, Keiji, at that time, when she fell from a motorcycle and broke her wrist. When I told her about Mahikari, she took the Basic Mahikari Seminar without hesitation. She married my son in February 2005, and their first baby girl, Fuka, was born later. We are very grateful for all these arrangements and protection from Su-God. In February 2006, my son, his wife, and I were able to participate in the MYA (Mahikari Youth Association) Meeting at Suza.
One night, when my son was sleeping, he suddenly started trembling with a terribly painful look, and repeated saying, "sea…sea…" for many hours. It appeared that his possessing spirits had manifested. Later, my son told us that he saw a tidal wave sweeping toward him, and the next moment he was stabbed by several people in his dream. He realized that his illness had something to do with some spiritual cause or what he had done in his past life. The next day, he went to see his doctor for dialysis. After the dialysis and test, his doctor told him that his condition had improved. Through this experience, my son realized his sins and he now goes to a contact branch more often.
Thanks to all these painful and struggling years through my son's cleansing phenomenon, our family was able to grow spiritually for which I am deeply grateful. I am determined to spend the rest of my life devoting my energies to Su-God in order to pay Him back for what He has given to us.
This year is the 18th year of Heisei and the number symbolizes "God opens". I felt that our contact branch should hold a Basic Mahikari Seminar every month, and I tried hard to guide people to Su-God. In January, I recruited my friend and his son to Mahikari, and they were able to attend the Risshun Festival at Suza the following month, six days after they received their Omitama. When I saw that they were moved by the Festival, I felt so much joy of saving people. In February, an 82-year-old uncle of Mr. Yoshinao, an assistant center chief of the Okinawa Dojo, took the Basic Mahikari Seminar. Before the seminar, he was not able to bend his knees, so he was initially sitting in a chair while taking the seminar. However, during the three-day-seminar he could bend his knees again, and now he can even sit on his knees at the dojo. The Kamikumites at our contact branch were all moved and thankful for this miracle, which Su-God showed to us on purpose.
We would like to take good care of Kamikumites whom Su-God has given to us and proceed with our divine service work in a southern-islander way, bright and lively atmosphere.
In the national spring high school baseball tournament, our local high school, Yaeyama Commercial High School, become a representative from the Okinawa Prefecture. People in our island went all together to cheer for the team. Like our high school baseball team, our Yaeyama contact branch will stick to their motto, "never give up," and we would like to devote ourselves to divine service work in order to promote our branch to a dojo in the near future.
Mioya-Moto-Su-Mahikari-Omikami-sama, Oshienushi-sama, thank you so much indeed.
